It might be stating the obvious to say which rooms are on the ground floor but all is not quite as it seems, and for those who find it difficult to negotiate the stairs, this information could be helpful. Our reception office is on the ground floor with just one step into it. Next to it is room 10, which has two steps down into the room, but we can put in a ramp, on request, to allow access by wheelchair. Five garden rooms have three steps up to them and five have just one step. Access to the rear of the hotel is via four steps, but there is a solid handrail on either side. However, wheelchairs can easily get through the double doors at the front. Our very lovely disabled-friendly loo is between reception and the hotel, key on request, and has no steps and easy access. |
